Welcome to kenoresults.nz, an independent information site about Keno and the other lottery games played in New Zealand. Our aim is to explain how the games work in plain language, so that someone who has never filled in a Keno ticket can follow along without wading through jargon or sales talk.
We are not a lottery operator. We do not sell tickets, take stakes or pay out prizes, and we are not connected to Lotto NZ. We describe the facts: how each game is put together, what the rules are and what is worth knowing before you decide anything for yourself.
What we do
On kenoresults.nz you will find guides to Keno, Lotto, Powerball, Instant Kiwi and other Lotto NZ games, along with explanations of how draws, prize tables and odds work. We also cover some lotteries from across the Tasman that New Zealand readers ask about.
In everything we publish, we try to:
- explain terms such as lines, dips, multipliers and prize divisions in a way that is easy to understand
- present information neutrally, without encouraging anyone to play or telling readers what they “should” do
- keep pages up to date and checked against reliable sources
Our principles
Our content rests on three principles: it should be fact-based, independent and easy to understand.
We check details against primary sources, mainly Lotto NZ’s official information at mylotto.co.nz and the Department of Internal Affairs, which regulates gambling in New Zealand. If we cannot confirm something, we leave it out. We also avoid presenting figures that change from draw to draw, such as current jackpot amounts, as if they were fixed.
How the site is funded never decides what we write. Every game is described in the same way, and we do not promote one operator or product over another.
The editorial team
The content on kenoresults.nz is written and reviewed by a small editorial team that works with informative, fact-checked content.
Georgia Holloway – editor and writer. Georgia is responsible for the content on kenoresults.nz. She plans the topics we cover, writes and edits the guides, and checks rules, draw details and prize information against official sources before a page is published. She also handles corrections when readers point out something that is wrong or out of date.
How we use AI
Parts of our content are prepared with the help of AI tools, including Claude from Anthropic, which support us with research and drafting. Everything is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by our editorial team before it goes live, and responsibility for what we publish always rests with us. You can read more in our AI policy.
Contact
Have you found a mistake or an outdated detail, or do you have a question about something on the site? Please get in touch through our contact page and we will look into it. Feedback helps us keep the site accurate and useful.
Please note that we cannot help with tickets, MyLotto accounts or prize claims. Those questions need to go to Lotto NZ directly.
